Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is investigating an arson at one of the town's pumping stations that occurred on June 21, 2021.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., police received the report of a fire at the pumping station located on Maloney Street. Officers and firefighters attended the scene. Damage caused by the fire was extensive and left the pump inoperable.

A fire scene investigator with Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene on June 22, 2021, and determined the fire was intentionally set. The investigation is continuing.
