Tractor trailer passes on a solid line on the TCH on August 23, 2021, putting other motorists at risk.

A 53-year-old man operating a tractor trailer was ticketed by Glovertown RCMP following a near miss head-on collision that occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Gambo on August 23, 2021.

Dash cam footage of the incident was captured by an off-duty RCMP officer who witnessed the event. A tractor trailer crossed over a solid line into the oncoming lane of travel and forced motorists in both directions of travel to take evasive actions to avoid a collision.

The driver was later identified and was served summary offence tickets on August 29, 2021, for crossing a solid line and for passing on the left when unsafe under the provincial Highway Traffic Act.

The dash cam video is attached showing the near miss.
