Fort Simpson RCMP request public assistance for June 29 residential fire

Fort Simpson RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public in an ongoing investigation regarding a residential fire in the community at approximately 7:30 am, June 29. RCMP attended the residence and found the home engulfed in flames.

Fort Simpson Fire Department attended and suppressed the fire. No one was injured but the house sustained major damage.

RCMP began an investigation along with the Office of the Fire Marshall for the Northwest Territories.

RCMP have followed all investigational avenues, however, at this time, investigators are unable to determine if there is a criminal element.

RCMP are requesting anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity the morning of June 29, or has any information in relation to the residential fire, to bring it forward to the RCMP at 695-1111.
