Fort Saskatchewan traffic operation a success

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP's Traffic and Crime Reduction Unit worked together with Fort Saskatchewan's Municipal Enforcement Officers in an operation targeting seat belts and cell phone compliance. The operation lasted approximately five hours at various locations within the city. The officers participating were excited to discover a very high compliance rate. During this time, only five violation tickets were issued.

Cpl. Devon Lafreniere, the NCO in charge of the Traffic and Crime Reduction Unit said "These stats go to show the care and dedication that the citizens of Fort Saskatchewan have for traffic safety. Both the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP and Fort Saskatchewan Municipal Enforcement Services wish to send out a big thank you to the whole community for contributing to our safe roads."
