Fisher Branch RCMP investigating homicide

News release

On November 6, 2021, at approximately 2:50 am, Fisher Branch RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence located in Fisher River Cree Nation.

Officers arrived at the residence to find an 18-year-old female with life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries. The 18-year-old was transported to hospital where, on November 7, 2021, she succumbed to her injuries. Her death is being treated as a homicide.

Fisher Branch RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
