Drug charges laid after home searched in Louisdale

On February 26, Richmond County RCMP members searched a home in Louisdale that led to a man and woman being arrested and drugs being seized.

Following a search of the residence, police seized a quantity of hydromorphone, cocaine, a cellular device and other drug paraphernalia. Fifty-eight year-old Herbert Joseph Sampson from Louisdale has been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Hydromorphone. The drugs are being sent for lab testing. He is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on April 26 at 9:30 a.m.

The 25-year-old woman who was arrested was released at the scene and will not be charged.

The investigation is ongoing.
