Drayton Valley RCMP execute search warrant and recover over $250,000 of stolen property

On Aug. 26, 2021, Drayton Valley RCMP executed a search warrant on a rural property northeast of Drayton Valley. One adult male was arrested on the property.

As a result of this search, police recovered a variety of stolen property, including: passenger vehicles, semi-trucks, various trailers, generators, a boat and a mini excavator. The estimated value of this recovered property is over $250,000. All owners of the property that was recovered have been contacted by police and are urged to contact their insurance companies for information on what steps to take next.

A 40-year-old male of Drayton Valley was arrested, and he is now facing 12 charges for possession or property obtained by crime over $5000.

After an in-custody judicial hearing, the 40-year-old male was remanded in custody. His next scheduled court appearance is on Oct. 5, 2021, in Drayton Valley Provincial Court.
