Deer Lake resident facing drug charge following RCMP investigation

Cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking, and cash seized from a home in Deer Lake on August 11, 2021.

A 28-year-old resident of Deer Lake is facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine as a result of an investigation by Deer Lake District RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP General Investigation Section West.

On the evening of August 11, 2021, a search warrant was executed under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in the community of Deer Lake. Police seized a quantity of cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking, and $4000 cash. The accused will appear in Corner Brook Provincial Court on October 19, 2021.
