Cochrane RCMP - Deceased person found in Bow River

On July 29, 2021, at 1:59 p.m., Cochrane RCMP received a complaint of a deceased person in the Bow River near River Avenue in the town of Cochrane.

Cochrane RCMP as well as Fire Services immediately deployed boats in the water and conducted a search. Within a short amount of time, rescue crews located a deceased person in the water.

The deceased person has been identified as a 36-year-old Cochrane resident. Next of Kin and the medical examiner have been notified.

The investigation as to how the person died as well as how he ended up in the river is ongoing.
