Charges laid after stolen property recovered

An 18-year-old male has been charged following reports of break and enters and thefts in Black Rock.

On February 11, Victoria District RCMP received two reports of break and enters on Oliver Ln. The victims reported damage to their property and a number of items being stolen. As part of the investigation, police executed a warrant at a property at Black Rock Rd. in Big Bras D'or where a number of items were recovered. A male was arrested on scene.

Phillip Darius White of Big Bras D'or, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime less than $5,000. White has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Wagmatcook Provincial Court on April 7, 2021.

The investigation is ongoing. Victoria District RCMP are asking neighbors to help each other out by monitoring each other's property. Residents are advised to ensure their residences and sheds are locked and valuables stored out of sight. Suspicious activity can be reported to police by calling 902-295-2350.
