Bay St. George RCMP responded to a residential robbery on Hillview Avenue in Stephenville on April 16, 2021, and arrested 32-year-old David Pittman and 38-year-old Joshua Cormier.
At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Friday evening, police received the report of an armed robbery. An individual inside the residence was allegedly threatened and held at knife point while being robbed of prescription medications and cash by Pittman and Cormier. The individual suffered minor injuries.
Pittman and Cormier, who were known to the individual, were later located, arrested and held in custody. The two made a brief court appearance on Saturday and were remanded into custody. Pittman is charged with armed robbery and Cormier is charged with armed robbery and uttering threats. They attend court today.
