Bay St. George RCMP impounds ATV and car for various infractions

Two Bay St. George men are without their vehicles following traffic stops conducted by Bay St. George RCMP on March 20, 2021.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., on Saturday morning, Bay St. George RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Stephenville Crossing with an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that was operating on the roadway. The driver, a 49-year-old resident of Stephenville Crossing, showed signs of alcohol impairment and provided a roadside breath sample that was above the provincial limit. He was issued a driving suspension and the ATV was seized and impounded.

Later in the evening, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Bay St. George RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Main Road in Robinsons. The driver, a 52-year-old resident of Jeffrey's, was driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle. He was ticketed for the violations and the car was seized and impounded.
