Bay Roberts RCMP investigates single-vehicle crash in Spaniard’s Bay; woman is arrested for impaired driving

A 57-year-old woman was arrested for impaired driving by Bay Roberts RCMP following a single-vehicle crash in Spaniard's Bay on March 13, 2021.

At approximately 4:20 a.m., police received a report of a crash on New Harbour Road. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle in the ditch and determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol. She was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the detachment where she provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit.

Her vehicle was seized and impounded and her driver's license was suspended. She was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.
