Update: September 3, 2021 – The Amber Alert notice issued on September 1 is no longer active. Police continue to look for the three-year-old boy and 36-year-old man, and are treating the incident as an ongoing missing person case. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals is asked to contact their local police force. Update: September 2, 2021- A second AMBER Alert message indicating the continuation of the event has been issued to people in the Madawaska, Restigouche and Gloucester areas of New Brunswick. The New Brunswick RCMP has issued an AMBER Alert notice to people in the Madawaska, Restigouche and Gloucester areas of New Brunswick in support of a Sûreté du Québec search for a missing three-year-old boy.

The three-year-old boy was last seen on August 31, 2021 at 1:45 p.m. in Ste-Paule, Quebec. He was taken by a 36-year-old man, who may be armed and dangerous. The two were last seen on an ATV which has since been recovered.

The New Brunswick RCMP is responsible for issuing police related Alert Ready and AMBER Alert messages in New Brunswick. The Sûreté du Québec remains the police of jurisdiction. For more information on the Sûreté du Québec investigation, please visit https://alerteamber.ca/
