Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in relation to the April 17, 2021, suspicious death of Daxon Levi Hornick-Schmidt (24) of Lloydminster. An autopsy conducted by the Saskatoon Office of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service determined the manner of death to be a homicide.
A 35-year-old male of North Battleford, Sask., was arrested in North Battleford, Sask., on April 23, 2021. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
Following a judicial hearing, he was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on April 26, 2021.
As this matter is now before the courts, no further updates will be provided.
