On Nov. 9, 2021, an autopsy was performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Edson RCMP continue to investigate this incident to identify and apprehend the suspect.
