32-year-old man arrested following altercation

A 32-year-old man from Elsipogtog First Nation, N.B, has been arrested following a report of an altercation at an apartment building in the community.

On June 24, 2021, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Elsipogtog RCMP responded to a report of several people fighting outside an apartment building on Main Street. Police received information that weapons were present and that threats were uttered.

A 32-year-old man from the community was arrested in relation to the incident. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Elsipogtog First Nation RCMP at 506-523-8282.
