Allan Donald Waugh was 69 when he was killed in his home. A long-time resident of Whitehorse, originally from New Brunswick, Allan came to the Yukon and married his wife of over 40 years, Lin Waugh. Together they raised 5 children, calling McIntyre subdivision "home." Allan was a talented welder and was known by family and friends to be a man who lived for being on the land, gardening, hunting, fishing, riding his bike and who loved his children and grandchildren.
On May 30th, 2014, in the early morning, Allan was found deceased in his house. A police investigation determined Allan to have been murdered by someone who had entered his home that night.
Someone knows something about what happened and who killed Allan on that fateful night over 6 years ago. Allan's death has been extremely hard on his family and community, and his children have had to go through the past 6 years without knowing what happened to their father.
Allan has not been forgotten and police are continuing their investigation into his death.
The police are actively using all available resources to find the person responsible. However, anyone with knowledge about Allan's murder is asked to come forward. Allan's family deserves closure after all this time.
