News release

Amendments to the Civil Emergency Measures Act (CEMA) now allows RCMP officers to ticket people in violation of the Act. This applies specifically to travellers from outside Yukon who are in violation of current travel regulations and restrictions.

Officers will be visible throughout Yukon enforcing these rules, especially in the downtown cores of our communities. Police will be monitoring for vehicles from outside of Yukon, B.C., N.W.T. and Nunavut that do not have a Yukon Visitor sticker. Anyone in direct violation of the order, found here, may be subject to a $500 fine under the Summary Convictions Act.

Yukon RCMP is asking that Yukoners continue to contact YG if they would like to report potential CEMA infractions. You can email covid19enforcement@gov.yk.ca or phone the toll-free InfoLine 1-877-374-0425 to report.
