On Oct. 9, 2020, Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section, with the assistance from Wood Buffalo RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and Municipal Traffic Services, as well as assistance from the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT), executed a search warrant at a condo complex in downtown Fort McMurray.
As a result of the search of a residence on Riedel Street, RCMP seized approximately 166 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and over a significant amount of Canadian currency.
One adult female and two adult males were arrested and are facing several charges.
A 46-year-old female of Fort McMurray, Alta., was charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Trafficking Cocaine (x2)
- Fail to comply with conditions
A 20-year-old male of Brandon, Man., and a 21-year-old male of Abbotsford, B.C., were both charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking.
All three are set to appear for court today, Oct. 13, 2020, at the Fort McMurray Provincial Court House.
