On Sept. 22, 2020 Wood Buffalo RCMP collaborated efforts from several police units for an enhanced enforcement initiative in the areas of Janvier and Conklin, Alta. Wood Buffalo RCMP Crime Reduction Unit with the assistance of Police Dog Services, General Duty, Municipal Traffic, RCMP Air Services, and the Integrated Traffic Unit were able to have many positive police interactions with the public in addition to enforcing laws and executing outstanding warrants for arrest.
During the day, police covered the south jurisdictions, which resulted in:
- 10 outstanding warrants executed
- 4 charges for breach of probation
- 2 stolen vehicles recovered
- 56 charges under the Traffic Safety Act
- Stolen property recovered
