A 29-year-old woman from Gloucester Junction, N.B., has been charged in connection with a seizure of what's believed to be methamphetamine and cocaine.
On January 31, 2020, members of the Northeast District RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit, the RCMP's Police Dog Services along with members of the Bathurst RCMP, executed a search warrant at a home on Gloucester Junction Road. The search warrant comes as a result of an ongoing drug investigation that began in early January 2020.
During the search, police seized quantities of what are believed to be methamphetamine and cocaine. A 29-year-old woman was arrested at the residence.
On February 3, Melanie Boucher appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court and was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
She was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on February 6, 2020.
The investigation is ongoing.
