Update: Clarenville RCMP arrests two women following armed robbery at the Corner Stop in Port Blandford

News release

Two women were arrested and face charges for an armed robbery at the Corner Stop gas station in Port Blandford that happened on June 26, 2020, following an investigation by Clarenville RCMP with assistance from the RCMP General Investigation Section.

On June 30, 2020, a 31-year-old Clarenville woman was taken into custody. She now faces charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and is set to attend court on September 10, 2020.

On July 1, 2020, a 51-year-old Musgravetown woman was taken into custody. She now faces charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and is set to attend court on September 17, 2020.

Names of the women are being withheld until criminal charges are sworn before the court.

The investigation is continuing.
