Correction: The time of the execution of the search warrants was incorrect in a previous news release. A third individual was also arrested. We apologize for these errors.

Police seized drugs and cash following the execution of two search warrants at two homes in Rang-Saint-Georges, N.B.

On August 31, 2020, around 9:30 p.m., police searched two homes on Route 135. The search was executed as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation that began earlier this year.

During the search, RCMP seized quantities of what is believed to cocaine and an undisclosed amount of currency. A 35-year-old man, a 65-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, all from Rang-Saint-Georges, were arrested at the scene without incident and were later released pending a future court appearance.

The investigation is ongoing.

Members of the Caraquet detachment, Tracadie detachment, Northeast District Crime Reduction Unit, New Brunswick Emergency Response Team and the RCMP's Police Dog Services assisted during the search warrants.
