Two men charged following attempted copper theft

A 30-year-old man and 39-year old man have been charged in connection with an attempted theft of copper in River Glade, N.B.

Around 8:30 a.m., on February 12, members of the Southeast District RCMP responded to a report of a theft of copper on Riverglade Road near Highway 2.

Police located and arrested two men trying to steal copper wire from street light fixtures.

Michael Brydges and Matthew Jacob appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on February 12, and were each charged with mischief over 5,000 $. They were remanded in custody and are both scheduled to return to court on February 14 at 1:30 p.m.
