April 8, 2020, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Two Hills RCMP were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Lamont County near Range Road 163.
With the assistance of Vegreville RCMP, police arrived and located a truck and trailer with a snowmobile nearby. Further investigation led police to arrest a male and female for drug possession.
Police seized what is believed to be methamphetamine (65g), Canadian currency and break-in tools.
A 50-year-old female and a 47-year-old male both of Edmonton were jointly charged with:
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
The 47-year-old male was released after a judicial hearing. Both accused are set to appear in Vegreville provincial court on July 20, 2020.
