Thompson RCMP investigating gunshot at apartment complex

Bullet hole in window

On November 12, 2020, at approximately 2:30 am, Thompson RCMP received a report of a single gunshot at an apartment complex on Cambridge Street in Thompson, Manitoba. Officers attended immediately and from outside the unit, police were able to see a bullet hole in the front living room window of a ground-floor apartment. When they entered the unit, nobody was home, the apartment was in disarray, and a fire extinguisher had been sprayed all over the room. There were no signs of trauma.

Police were able to locate and speak with the resident of the apartment. There were no injuries.

Initial investigation has determined the bullet hole appears to have been made by a 12-gauge shotgun.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
