Thompson RCMP are seeking public assistance in obtaining information in regards to 21-year-old Preston Yellowback's activities on March 8, 2020, prior to his death. It is believed he had been at a house party located on Juniper Drive in Thompson from 2:15 am to 3:00 am.

The RCMP are asking anyone with information in regards to his activities on March 8 to call the Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.

March 8, 2020, at approximately 9:35 am, Thompson RCMP received a report of a male in medical distress near Spruce Road in the community.

Officers attended to the location and discovered a 21-year-old male, from Gods River, unresponsive in the snow.

Officers began resuscitative efforts until EMS arrived and transported him to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Although no criminality is suspected in the death, the investigation remains ongoing as we await the results of the autopsy.

Thompson RCMP along with the Chief Medical Examiner's Office continue to investigate.
