The New Brunswick RCMP's Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit (TTEU) has arrested three people while conducting patrols along provincial highways in the northeastern part of the province.

"While New-Brunswickers are asked to stay at home, police will continue to be present in our communities to ensure public safety," says Sgt. Mario Maillet of the TTEU unit. "We remain committed to improving road safety and to reduce serious injury and fatal collisions."

On March 25, 2020, members of New Brunswick RCMP's Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit arrested three individuals during separate traffic stops in three different communities.

Around 5 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Route 150 in Six Roads for speeding. Further investigation led police to believe the driver may have been impaired by alcohol. A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene for failure to provide a sample.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Route 17 in Glen Levit for passing a vehicle on a solid line. Further investigation led police to believe the driver may have been impaired by alcohol. A 35-year-old woman was arrested at the scene for failure to provide a sample.

Later that evening, around 10 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Route 160 in Saint-Sauveur for speeding. Further investigation led police to believe the driver may have been impaired by alcohol. A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene for impaired driving.

All three individuals are scheduled to return to provincial court at a later date.
