Speeding driver in Kings County has vehicle impounded

On Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 at 10:30 p.m., a Kings District RCMP officer was on patrol and encountered a vehicle on Route #2 in Souris West travelling eastbound over double the posted speed limit of 90 kilometers/hour.

A 17 year-old male driver from Kings County was stopped and issued a $900 fine and had his vehicle impounded for 24 hours at his expense.

RCMP remind the driving public that drivers are expected to abide by the speed limits posted for their own safety and the safety of others on the roads. Drive the posted speed and get where you are going safely.
