Souris RCMP traffic stop leads to seizure of methamphetamine

On April 26, 2020, at 4:25 am, officers conducted a traffic stop in the community of Souris. The traffic stop led to the arrest of the three male occupants and a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of 154.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, brass knuckles and other drug paraphernalia.

Riley Yates, 20-year-old from Virden, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Weapons Possession Contrary to a Court Order. He was released for court scheduled July 9, 2020, in Brandon, Manitoba.

Michael McCulloch, 22-year-old from Brandon, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Fail to Comply with a Release Order Condition. He was released for court scheduled July 9, 2020, in Brandon, Manitoba.

An 18-year-old, from Virden, will appear in court on August 13, 2020, in Brandon on a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
