A 62-year-old Newville man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, has died following a single vehicle collision on Route 340 near Virgin Arm.
On August 16, 2020, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Twillingate RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision. The vehicle swerved off the road and hit a rock cliff in the ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Collision Reconstructionist with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene and The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was engaged.
