The Riverview RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in relation to suspicious structure fires at two camps located on the same property in Albert County, N.B.

On July 31, 2020, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Riverview RCMP received a report of two small camps being burnt on a property near Albert Mines Road in Albert County. The area is known locally as the Underground Lake Road or Smith Road.

The investigation has determined that the fires are connected and were deliberately set sometime between 11 a.m., on July 30 and 11 a.m., on July 31.


Access to the area and the camps are limited to all terrain vehicles or by foot.

The investigation is continuing.
