Rigolet RCMP arrests man for impaired driving on a snowmobile

A 29-year-old Rigolet man faces charges of impaired driving on a snowmobile following an investigation by Rigolet RCMP.

On March 22, 2020, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Rigolet RCMP received a report of a suspected impaired driver operating a snowmobile in the town. Police followed the skidoo tracks in the freshly fallen snow and located the man, who the officer was able to identify as the driver, at a residence.

The officer spoke with the man and found he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested, transported back to the detachment and provided breath samples nearly twice the legal limit. The man was released from custody and is set to attend court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.
