Red Deer RCMP seek public assistance after hit and run with pedestrian

On Sept. 4, a pedestrian was the victim of a hit and run on 47 Avenue and 49 Street, Red Deer.

The pedestrian was using the crosswalk shortly after 11:30 p.m. when they were struck by a two-tone red and gold Dodge Ram pick up truck, possibly a 2500 or 3500 model. After striking the pedestrian, the vehicle did not attempt to stop. The victim was airlifted to hospital and is currently in ICU.

Red Deer RCMP are asking anyone who may have information related to this incident, or can identify the driver, to contact the detachment at 403-343-5575.
