At approximately 3:00 p.m., the officer pulled the vehicle over and learned that the car had expired registration and was not insured. The driver, a 29-year-old Deer Lake man, was suspended from driving since 2013.
The man was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's licence, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating a vehicle without insurance. Police seized and impounded the car.
