RCMP Traffic Services East captures aggressive speeder, using hand-held laser, traveling 157 kms/hr on the TCH near Middle Gull Pond.

RCMP Traffic Services East is finding innovative ways of enforcing aggressive drivers and is taking advantage of this winter's snowfall for traffic enforcement.

On March 10, 2020, officers used the snowbanks along the Trans-Canada Highway as a form of concealment to monitor and enforce aggressive drivers. A number of speeding tickets were issued, including one incident of excessive speeding. A 29-year-old Dover woman was charged for driving 157km/hr on the Trans-Canada Highway, near of Middle Gull Pond. Her license was suspended.

RCMP NL encourages drivers to drive like police are watching because you simply never know where we are! Follow the speed limit, buckle up your seat belt and stay off your cell phone.
