RCMP responds to bomb threat at St. Mark’s School in King’s Cove

Bonavista and Clarenville RCMP responded to a report of a bomb threat at St. Mark's School in King's Cove this morning.

The call for service came in to police at approximately 11:15 a.m. Officers attended the scene and although police did not suspect any immediate threat to the public, officers took all the necessary precautions to ensure public safety, including an evacuation of all staff and students. A search of the school was conducted and there was no bomb on the premises.

Staff and students have since returned to the school and the investigation is continuing.
