On November 28, 2020, as a result of an ongoing investigation, the Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), along with assistance from officers from the Turtle Mountain & Blue Hills Detachments, the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Police Dog Services (PDS) and the Brandon Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Rosser Avenue, in the City of Brandon. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a loaded handgun, 189 grams of cocaine, cash and drug related paraphernalia.

RCMP have arrested and charged 24-year-old Shayan Khan, of Surrey, BC, with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and numerous firearms offences.

The accused was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court later today.

The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent as those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities.

RCMP continue to investigate.
