The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime unit is investigating the suspicious death of a 29-year-old man in Waasis, N.B.
On July 22, 2020, shortly after 2:15 a.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on Route 655 in Waasis.
It's believed that more than one armed individuals entered the residence. They had fled the scene before police arrived.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered the body of a 29-year-old man. His death is being considered suspicious. An autopsy will be completed to determine cause of death.
Police believe the home invasion and the suspicious death are linked, and that they are an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing.
