RCMP investigating suspicious fire at daycare facility

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help in its investigation into a suspicious fire that occurred at a daycare facility in Moncton, N.B.

On October 19, 2020, at approximately 5:10 a.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP and Moncton Fire Department responded to the Northend Learning Center on Gorge Road. The business was unoccupied at the time and was heavily damaged by the fire. Nobody was injured.

The investigation has determined the fire to be deliberately set.

Photo surveillance shows an individual dressed in black walking up to the business moments before the fire started.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed suspicious activity, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP detachment at 506-857-2400.
