Update - RCMP investigating homicide in Thompson

The investigation has revealed that the 28-year-old male died as a result of injuries sustained from a fall following a minor altercation.

RCMP have determined that there is no criminal culpability in this matter and as a result, no criminal charges can be laid.

The investigation has now been concluded.


On the morning of April 26, 2020, a 28-year-old male passed away suddenly in Thompson, MB. The death is believed to be related to an incident that took place on April 25, 2020, at a house party and is being investigated as a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.

Thompson RCMP along with Major Crimes Services and the Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate.
