RCMP asking for public’s help in connection to investigation into theft of vehicle

The Caraquet RCMP is asking for the public's assistance with an investigation into a theft of a vehicle from Caraquet that was later recovered in a stream in Anse-Bleue, N.B.

On July 2, 2020, shortly before 8 a.m., the Caraquet RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle found abandoned in a stream near Route 320 in Anse-Bleue. The car was confirmed to have been stolen from a business on Saint-Pierre Boulevard Ouest in Caraquet sometime during the evening hours of July 1 into the early morning hours of July 2.

The vehicle is a 2018 white Volvo S90 with New Brunswick licence plate JUR 742.

Anyone with information on the theft of the vehicle, or anyone who saw the vehicle being driven during the night of July 1 or the early morning hours of July 2, is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP detachment at 506-344-2006.
