On Saturday, July 25th at approximately 7:15 pm, Queens County RCMP and the New Glasgow Fire Department responded to a single vehicle collision on the Millborrow Road in Brookfield.
The two occupants of the vehicle were uninjured. The driver, a 23 year-old Cornwall man, was arrested at the scene and brought back to the RCMP Maypoint Detachment office where he provided samples of his breath which were more than three times the legal limit. Given the time of day and the traffic in the area, this incident could have turned out very differently if the driver was not removed from the roadway.
Police are reminding people that are having a few drinks to not get behind the wheel. Call a cab, call a friend or simply stay where you are - and call if you suspect an impaired driver.
