Update - Pukatawagan RCMP investigating homicide

On June 26, 2020, at approximately 7:55 pm, the Pukatawagan RCMP responded to a report of a body found in a wooded area in the community.

Officers attended and located a 22-year-old female who was pronounced deceased. Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services immediately attended and began an investigation.

On June 29, 2020, August Thunder Caribou, 22, of Pukatawagan, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. He is set to appear in The Pas provincial court today.

RCMP continue to investigate.
