Prince JFO seize Cocaine and Hydromorphone during targeted vehicle stop in Summerside

The Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) Unit which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside, and Kensington Police members conducted a targeted vehicle stop Thursday, October 15th, 2020 in Summerside. As a result of this stop Albert Bridges and a 24 year-old man were arrested. Police seized 12.5 grams of cocaine, 47 hydromorphone pills, a 30 mg hydromorphone capsule, 17 methylphenidate pills, over $280 in cash, and a knife.

Mr. Bridges, who has a criminal record with several convictions for drug trafficking in the past, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone, possession of methylphenidate, and breach of probation. The second man was released without charge.

The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
