Prince District JFO seizes 175 grams of Crystal Meth during search warrant in Summerside

The Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) Unit which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside, and Kensington Police members executed a search warrant in Summerside on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020. Police seized 175 grams of crystal methamphetamine, morphine pills, oxycodone pills, Xanax pills, a switchblade knife, a conducted energy weapon (CEW or "taser"), brass knuckles, and cash. The switchblade knife, CEW, and brass knuckles are all prohibited weapons.

A 39 year-old man, who was on parole, and 33 year-old woman were both arrested and have been charged for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and weapons offences. The man charged will appear in Provincial Court on June 17th, 2020.

Prince District JFO was assisted by the Summerside Major Crime Unit, the RCMP Major Crime Unit, and the RCMP's Police Dog Services.
