Prince Albert and Creighton RCMP investigate importation of prohibited items

On February 28, 2020, Prince Albert General Investigation Section (GIS) and Creighton RCMP executed a search warrant in a residence in Creighton, SK.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of the following items:

  • 13 non-restricted firearms,
  • Two prohibited firearms,
  • Several hundred rounds of ammunition,
  • Two explosive detonator cords,
  • One conducted energy weapon,
  • Three prohibited knives,
  • One home-made firearm suppressor,
  • Electronic devices, some of which include a computer and two cell-phones.

Jacob Christianson was arrested and charged with multiple firearms and weapons-related offences including the unauthorized importation of a prohibited device, possession of prohibited firearms, possession of prohibited weapons, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition accessible and careless storage of a firearm.

Christianson was released on an undertaking with conditions to appear in Creighton Provincial Court on April 14, 2020.

The investigation is ongoing.
