On October 25, 2020, at approximately 1:50 am, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside a residence on Tupper Street North in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. It was reported that there were two unknown males in the vehicle, and at one point, one of the males exited the vehicle and started screaming that he had a gun. Then the vehicle departed.

A short while later, it was reported to police that the vehicle was back. At 2:35 am, police found the vehicle parked outside the residence. When officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver, they saw a knife in the vehicle. Both males were placed under arrest.

The vehicle was searched. Three large knives, including a machete, were found inside the vehicle, and a fourth knife was found outside the vehicle. A can of bear mace was also located. It was determined there was no firearm present.

Two males are facing charges. Kyle Richard, 24, of Portage, was under conditions not to possess weapons, among others. He is charged with Fail to Comply with Release Conditions x 6 and Breach of Probation.

Brennen Roulette, 24, from Portage, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to the Public Peace and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
