Portage la Prairie RCMP respond to shots fired

On October 7, 2020, at approximately 9:10 pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report of shots fired and an injured man on Saskatchewan Avenue in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. When police arrived on scene, the victim was inside the front lobby of a building suffering from what was believed to be gunshot wounds. The 38-year-old male from Portage was transported to Winnipeg hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Witnesses report seeing two males dressed in black running away from the area.
